When the final credits rolled on the final episode of ‘being human,’ the announcer oddly spoke, ‘ i’m going to miss ‘being human.’ Isn’t that what the whole show was all about, after all? Not so much missing the loss of humanity, but trying to return to a state of humanity, normality–that was one of the show’s underlying themes.
Not only wondering what it is to be human in the first place but also speculating on disparate forms of humanity, The hungry, The thirsty, The diaphanous, The quarreled, The lonely; I always wondered what it would be like to live with a wolf and a vampire in an urban flat.
I am sad it’s over.
